The 1 year anniversary of the launch of the Bump in the Dungeon website and the release of the 1st Printing of Beyond the Threshold is just around the corner. In celebration, new Beyond the Threshold updates and resources will be released throughout the week.
First up, the announcement that the updated 5th printing of the Beyond the Threshold rulebook is now available.
What’s been updated? The basic game mechanic and core rules have not changed. The new printing adds amended and new content including updates to the paladin archetype, updates to a few warrior-monk fighting styles, clarification on halfling Starting Luck Score, a new cleric spell Saintly Weapon, and a new Appendix VR: Veneration and Relics with many new relic options for clerics and paladins. Amendments for 1st Edition, 5th Printing
Wait, didn’t the 4th Printing just come out, why another revision? Yes, the 4th Printing was released in July in preparation for Gen Con. After running multiple games at Gen Con as well as wrapping up an almost two-year weekly campaign, I identified some improvements and amendments that I wanted to get out sooner than later.
Are additional revisions anticipated? No, 5th Printing covers the most updated rules and clarifications and realizes my vision for Beyond the Threshold. Rules clarifications, if needed, will be handled on the Errata & FAQ webpage or through future expanded material.
